Interjections are words used as exclamations, such as Oops! or Wow! While they can impart a human, casual side to content, it is best to use them very sparingly because they can come across as patronising.
- Avoid: Yikes! Do you really want to delete these transactions?
- Avoid: Oops! Your company file is damaged.
- Use: You’re now ready to create your database.
- Use: Excellent! You completed your first payroll.
Never show more than one exclamation point on the screen at any one time.
